Reward Points Purchases

RP Rewards may be purchased with the points you accumulate through posting In Character on the board. You receive a point for each post you make. You may use the points from any account(s) you possess to purchase rewards for any one of your characters. When you claim a reward, please reply to this thread with the account points you'd like to use (name the account(s)), which character you're using them for, and what reward you are claiming (be specific as to what the item is). In the case of staff housing, please also include the address of the home. You will be expected to figure out and explain how your character got their reward, if the item is prohibited, for example, so get your thinking caps on, and have fun!

When using an in-game reward item, please be sure to mark whatever threads are associated with it clearly. For example, if you buy paraphernalia, please mention that you bought the item at the top of the first post. If you are posting an unbustable thread, please title it as Blind Side: Thread Title (Character Tag) Your unbustable reward lasts only for the one thread and only for those characters listed in the character tag in the title.


Staff Offices ◦ 40 Points

This reward purchases you your own subboard for a staff office either on the administration level or on the medical department level, if medical.

Staff Homes ◦ 50 Points

This reward purchases you your own subboard for your staff home in the appropriate location.

Electronics ◦ 15 Points

This reward purchases your resident a personal electronic device that is otherwise prohibited by the handbook guidelines (laptops, personal gaming devices, MP3 players etc.). The resident may carry and use this item without hindrance. (Note, mobile phones and digital recording equipment are not permitted.)

Sticky Fingers ◦ 35 Points

This reward purchases your character the application and file of another resident of your choosing. You must explain how your character came to be in possession of the file.

Town Outing ◦ 50 Points

This reward purchases you a day out on the town with your chosen member of staff (as long as they are approved to accompany you by facility administration.)

Field Trip ◦ 75 Points

This reward purchases you and your character's chosen companions a field trip to town. You may choose up to seven people to go on the field trip as long as you can justify why they would be approved to go. Staff accompaniment is chosen by facility administration.

Prohibited Item ◦ 75 Points

This reward purchases your character an item from the prohibited items list. This could be a weapon or drugs, etc. You must explain how they got it into the facility.

Blind Side ◦ 75 Points

This reward purchases you a thread that is guaranteed not to be busted by staff. This could include a romantic rendez-vous, a fight or some other nefarious deed. Your imagination is the only limit.

Classified ◦ 75 Points

This reward purchases information for your character that they are not supposed to have. Maybe they overhear something they're not meant to, or see something they shouldn't, etc. The admin team will inform you by PM what this information is after you purchase the reward.

Freedom! ◦ 100 Points

This reward purchases your character a temporary escape from the facility. Your character has three whole days of freedom in which to get up to whatever they wish before they are recovered by facility staff. Be advised that the results of an escape could be unpleasant for your character.

Knocked Up ◦ 300 Points

This reward purchases your character and their on-site partner a little accident miracle. You will receive a PM from the admin staff detailing the pregnancy, protocol, expected date of birth and gender of the child. (The cost of the reward may be split between the mother and the father. Remember that because the patients are heavily monitored you will need to provide an explanation as to how you were able to avoid detection.)

Household Pet ◦ 30 Points

This reward purchases your staff character a regular household pet for their home, which you may use in threads outside of the main central block. This does not include unreasonable exotics or large animals, unless permission has been given to house a large animal at Highgrove.

This reward purchases you a field trip for up to 7 residents of your choice, with your staff character. The patients must be approved for the field trip by their therapist or facility administration.

This reward purchases you a thread guaranteed not to be busted or discovered by other staff. This might include some deed or other that they might ordinarily get in trouble for, such as bringing a patient to their private office or home, etc.

This reward purchases you a random reward for your resident or staffer, to be concocted by the admin staff. It may be something amazingly fortuitous, or it may be a total curve ball. If you're looking to spice up your character's plot, and you're willing to take a gamble, this reward is for you. You will receive a PM from the admin staff detailing what your random reward is.
